How do you get your hair like this with teasing? I know they arent good for your hair supposedly but i want to know. hairspray and clips dont help me much when i try to get that hair pouf thing. this is what i want (front part only):

i used to have a mowhawk and i realized that you dont really have to tease it up, just use like industrial strength hairspray and ill tell you the brand. search it online if all else fails. its BeyondZone Frozen Stiff Hairspay. Hope that helped.

Take section of hair and back comb it [use a rattail comb and comb the hair downwards] then hair spray the hair that you just teased. Voila.

neither person here teased their hair. Pull your hair up and make sure it is very tightly pulled back. Then, once the hair is up.....begin to pull the hair out of the clip without pulling it all the way will give you that loose pouf on the top......hope this makes sense.

You need a fine toothed comb, preferably with a pick at the end (or you can just you a comb and pick separately). This works best on unwashed hair but if you just washed your hair, douse it with a little hair spray. Start with the top layers of your hair and take a small piece of about an inch and hold it away from your head. Brush the piece backwards towards your scalp with the comb and repeat until you've brushed out the top layer of your hair. Take some time in between to spray the pieces or separate them a little with the pick. I find that it's best just to do the top layer becase otherwise you'll just wind up with a matted fro. Tease as much or as little as you like and be sure not to use too much hairspray.
