Business in the front, party in the back??????

How can anyone ever forget those beautiful locks of flowing hockey hair fly down the ice, like a Boxster retractable spoiler speeding down the Autobahn.

I came across this article, and on the bottom of the web page there is a photo gallery that will make you shed a tear of laughter.

So, I have some very important questions that must be answered.

Is there a difference between a mullet and 閳ユ笁ockey hair閳? If so, than please explain?

Who has had the sweetest elegantly graceful mud flap in the NHL?

Last, and most important, did you ever go to your barber, bring your 1991 Jaromir Jagr hockey card, and ask to look like him?

Hockey hair is just a nice way of saying mullet ALTHOUGH many of my nephews are sporting what they call hockey hair and it is kind of long all over- no business in the front if you will, it's a party all over their heads.

You see as many bald youngsters nowadays, when I was young our parents would nag us to get a hair-cut, threaten us with a crew cut, most kids nowadays want a crew cut.

Of course Jagr ranks up there. Ricci had one for awhile. How about Ron Dugauy's flowing locks? Melrose. Smyth to this day.

LOL- Just checked out your link and all those guys were mentioned. It is said that Handzus is like that dude from the bible (Samson I think) that he would lose his strength if they cut his hair.

Ugh. I accidentally gave my husband a mullet in the early 90's. He's got curly hair and needed a trim, the sides were very clownish. I cut them down, but the back and top were still long, his friends made fun of him till he got it cut the next day. Poor guy.

The mullet should be called by it's proper name..The El Camino.

Helmet head is a a product of cause and effect. The Mullet is a timeless sense of style.

I don't follow hockey, but Joe Namath had the El Camino going on.

Mullet= Melrose and Jagr's hair he used to have

Hockey hair--simply having long hair ---Fedorov and his long locks and George Parros

Tony Amonte had the best hair. What a beast!

umm no way.

I'm afraid there is no difference between the two. In fact, hockey hair is sportspeak for mullet!

Haley, have you ever seen a black man with a mullet? My cousin Stephen (who currently resides in Los Angeles) sported on back in the early 1990s. Trust me when I say this: he was a dead ringer for Jaromir Jagr (despite being a black version of the Rangers superstar)! Man I wish I had a pic...

First of all, thanks for the link LMAO. Jagr hands down had the greatest mullet,I mean look up the mullet in the dictionary-there's Yammy!! Actually hockey hair is just long unkempt hair that usually wings out at the ears and back -helmet hair. The mullet is a statement,a choice,a decision.Hockey hair is the result of sweat and restrictive head protection.

Another name for the ol' mudflap up north is the "beavertail"

Jaromir Jagr's hair was the secret to his success... and I think it helped his demeanor as well. He cut it and I swear his play started to decline. Then he started, you know... "dying alive". LOL. Maybe the truth was that he wasn't getting as much tail without his mullet.

I agree, that hockey hair is sort of long all over, or just hair grown out without any cutting in the front. If you cut it in the front or it's really short in the front, but long in the back... You have yourself a mullet.

Hockey hair and mullets truly are a big deal though, much like beards in the playoffs! How do most people remember Guy Lafleur? With his hair longer in the back, flying out behind him.

The photo gallery was great. And this was a fun question.

Thanks for the laughs, Haley! :)
