i think you can use big rollers and then separate them with your fingers, and you should get the same effect.

get a two inch curling iron then use a soft brush on it. the barrel curls will turn to big waves.

She has chunky big waves. Curling iron (biggest rod) and finger comb the curls when all hair is complete. Miley has heavy, thick, slightly wavy hair so it holds these chunky waves pretty well. Don't roll the curling iron all the way up to your scalp. Hold the curling iron at a 45 degree angle for only a few seconds to keep the curl loose.

1) Wash your hair every other day so your hair's natural oils make it soft and shiny!

2) Use a shampoo and a conditioner. If you have time, let your hair dry naturally. Otherwise, blow dry with the setting on COOL- it makes hair smoother.

Put some sort of a curl lock into it (I like matrix's curl.life step 3) and an anti-friz serum. Blow dry, and divide your hair into three sections horizontally. Start at the bottom, with a 1-2 inch curling iron wrap a lock of hair around the iron using your fingers. Do NOT close the mouth of the iron. Leave on for about 25 seconds and release. You should have between 8-12 curls a section if you divide evenly. Finish off with a mist of hairspray and your good to go.
