I want to buy a new curling iron, which one to get these types of curls?

I want to buy a new curling iron to get that tossled wavy spiraled look that all the stars have like jessica simpson and pretty much every other celebrity. which one is the best?! i've heard of spiraled curling irons and stuff but i dont know the difference. i have a curling iron now but these curls look like they start at the root, and i dont think that mine can do that. please recommend a curling iron for these types of curls below in the links and how to do it because i'm clueless!! i have really long, extremely thick, naturally wavy hair with some layers and side bangs if that helps!! thank youuuu!!

a lot of those hair styles were either done with a 2" barralled curling iron simply ran through the hair, less winding and holding the iron there. But truthfully they were done with a large ceramic round brush during a blow out.
