How can i get soft curls like this...?

i want to try 2 different style of curls:

and please tell me how to use it if it is a curling iron. because my hair is so hard to curl.

Here are the steps:

1. Wash and condition your hair with a voluming shampoo and conditioner.

3. Towel dry hair to remove eccess moisture, and apply a heat protecting spray.

4. Put in some sort of volumising mouse/gel/spray and work through the hair with a wide-tooth comb.

5. Blowdry your hair until about 75% dry then take a round brush and brush through your hair, while you continue blow drying your hair. This will add volume and a little curl.

6. Get a medium sized curling iron and separate your hair into sections, and curl each section. You could use rollers, but they won't get the same effect.

7. Finish by running your fingers through the curls to loosen them. And spray with hairspray. Strong hold is best.

Some people have trouble holding their curls in place. But I have a few tips:

1. Make sure that when you have curled your hair, YOU DON'T TOUCH THE CURL, you just let it cool down fully, then sporay with hairspray.

2. The only other way I know is after you have taken the hair off the curling iron you just wrap it up into a little bun thing, bassically as if you were to wrap it around a roller, except the roller isn't actually there, and then you just pin!

The second picture looks more wavy than curly so you might want to try this:

Wash your hair with a shine shampoo and conditioner.

Work some curl enhancing product thorugh your hair.

Plait/braid your hair.

Take your plaits/braids out in the morning.

Spray with hair spray.

You could also try what's called a tripple barrel curling iron which will give you waves rather than curls.

Those are more like waves.

They are most likely with blow dryers or with curlers.

Let your hair air dry naturally after scrunching it with a little mousse when it is still damp from washing. You can use a curling iron to add a few accent curls if you wish, but not for the whole head.

i take those jaw clips and where them all day and the next morning i put on some curling serum to get rid of the morning frizz and it look exactly like the Olsen twins picture

for the miley cyrus curls, you need a LARGE curling iron and just curl it, it usually work for me. Make sure the curling iron is wide in diameter ok

u can try washing your hair and slightly drying then put velcrow culers all through it using big and small ones and leave them in over night. Also add some curl defining product to you hair before you put the rollers in and spray with some hair spray after their in. Than take them out in the morning and add a little bit more product and seperate them with your fingers. This usually works for my sister.
