How can I get a simple ponytail to look so elegant, yet messy? My hair is about the same length and color as Keira's, in this photo.

Also, how could I copy her eye makeup? What color shadow, etc? I have blue green eyes.

Keira Knightley is a total fashion icon! I love her ponytail look - the best part is, it's totally easy. Scrunch product (mousse for fine hair, gel for thick hair - if in doubt, use mousse) into hair after you get out of the shower. Either blow dry with a diffuser or let your hair air dry. Use a curling iron once your hair is dry for a little more curl definition. Once your hair is wavy/curly (it should look kinda messy) pull it back in a loose ponytail. Like I said, it isn't meant to be perfect - it should be slightly messy. Pull out a couple of curly, face framing pieces (and bangs if you have them). And also, if you do have bangs, straighten them - if they are curly or distressed, the look will lose its elegance. TADA! You have her hair look!

For makeup, Start with a complimenting eyeshadow color (it looks like a reddish-brown in the picture) on the outer corners of your eyelid. Apply black eyeliner (brown for a softer look) Along your top lashes, making the line thicker towards the outer corner. Apply the same eyeliner to your bottom lashes also, only going halfway around your eye this time. Swipe on one or two coats of mascara on your top and bottom lashes, too. If you have lighter eyebrows, fill them in a bit (powder looks more natural than pencil, but you may have to use pencil if your eyebrows aren't too dark). Finish off with a natural, sun-kissed blush (the same color as your cheeks when you pinch them) and a sheer red lip color.
