I'm Italian, and I know for a fact that most Southern Europeans don't have the blue-eyed/blonde-haired look. We tend to have darker hair, brown eyes, and a Mediterranean skin tone. A lot of people might look at Hispanics and say that they must be part South American Indian, but take a look at some full-blooded Spanish celebs:

Mexicans are mixed with both European ancestery(Spainard) and Indian. Cubans are black( African American) and Spanish. hispanics are mixed ... but Spain Spanish are europeans full blood. The thing is that the Spanish came to Central American and bred with the indigenous people - no one knows who is what any more and no one should care.

Well, if they are mixed with Indian they are mestizo. But Spaniards are Europeans. There shouldn't a be a 'white' to describe southern Europeans. I myself am Norwegian/Moroccan, and I consider myself half white

basically you want to know about the racial differences of Latin American hispanics and Spanish hispanics, right? Yes, many Latin American are whites. Not all Spanish or Portuguese settlers that came to Latin America mixed with the indigenous people or with their black their slaves. And, in the end of the XIXth century and beggining of the XXth century many Europeans came to Latin America, from various countries, specially Spain, Portugal, Italy and Germany. To think that all Latin Americans are mixed is ridiculous, it's ignorance. You don't need to show Catalina Sandino to prove that many hispanics are whites. There are lots of Latin Americans that are whiter than Colombian Catalina Sandino. Let's stay in Colombia: the presidente 鑴昹varo Uribe:

And many others. Actually about 1/3 of Latin Americans are white. The proportion of whites in Latin American countries varies a lot. In Argentina and Uruguay they are more than 80%. In Mexico they are only 10%.

My dear Grdnoviz, as you don't allow e-mail messages, let's have a small discusion here. People from US were always known for thinking that owns the thurth and liking to point "who is white", "who is black". Specially the blacks, they love to point out who is black. As if it makes them better. "Souther Europeans are black" some say, "they mixed with North Africans". Well, forget about this. You said how is sad that Latin Americans try to deny their "african and indigenous blood". No one is trying to deny nothing my friend, some Latin Americans are whites, some are not, some are black, some are not, some are indigenous, some are not, some are asian, some are not, the only thing you can not say about Latin Americans is generalizations like: "Latin Americans ara a mix os spanish (sic), black and indigenous blood".This is the most racially diverse continent in the planet.
